Latin manuscript. France, 15th century. Vellum. 152 ff. (200 x 135 mm.) 1
column, 14 lines. Gothic script. Twelve minatures with full borders;
illuminated initials in blue, rose, and gold; borders with arabesques, birds,
flowers, fruit, and animals. Bound in contemporary brown calf blind; stamped
with square stamps of monkeys and fleur-de-lys in central panel; rosette and
phoenix stamps in border panels; spine repaired; clasps missing.
The book is composed of signatures of 8, with some irregularities. The
binding is too tight to permit accurate collation.
Comments: The flyleaf is filled with French notes in a 17th century hand.
Folios 1-3 contain marginal notations, in French in an 18th century hand, of
family records of baptisms, marriages, and deaths.

Neustrie demeuvant a sa terre du Bouchirot pres de Lisieux. Bookplate of
