Vellum. 2 f. 325 x 213 (211 x 102) mm. 2 columns, 45 lines, in lead point;
single bounding lines for columns; three sets (top, middle and bottom of
writing area) of three long horizontal rulings; double lines along outer and
lower edges of folio; no prickings visible.
Gothic textura script.
Initials in blue and red with penwork designs; rubricated. Remains of running
titles.

Provenance: The two adjacent folios were used as wrappers on the quinto and
tenor partbooks of Il primo libro de madrigali a cinque voci of Rodiano Barera,
Venice (Gardano), 1596, that belonged to the Filmer family of Maidstone, Kent;
estate of Sir Robert Filmer 1916-1945. Acquired by Yale from Hugh Mellor and
M. Balley. Transferred to the Rare book Room from the Library of the School of
Music, 20 February 1958. Reclassed in 1980 from Beinecke MS 3, no. 6.
