3 leaves from a Latin manuscript.  France, 2nd half of the 15th century.

Parchment.  183 x 120 (105 x 61, with illuminated marginal strip on outside
of page 25 mm. wide) mm.  One column, 22 lines.  Single vertical bounding
lines.  Ruled in red ink.

Initials in red, blue, and gold.  Illuminated marginalia in red, blue,
gold, green, and black of floral ornamentation, beasts, and hunters shooting
at giant insects.  Miniature of an emperor (God the Father?) preaching to
angels.

Formal gothic bastarda.
